Coaches
Coach Dasher is in her 6th year teaching math and coaching the high school level. She joins us from Mill Creek High School where she has taught and coached swimming for the past five years. Before that, she coached in the Gwinnett County Summer League for 15 seasons.
Coach Dasher attended Young Harris College and graduated with a B.A in Communication Studies and then continued her education at Georgia Southern University where she earned her Masters in the Art of Teaching Special Education degree.
Coach Dasher is often spotted in the community with her family. Her husband, Coach Dasher, teaches math and coaches football and baseball. They have two children, RJ (5) and Camden (3) that both play baseball for the youth program .
Coach Irwin is starting his fifth year as a community coach with the Buford High School Swimming and Diving team. He has been involved with the sport of swimming (as an athlete, official, coach and parent) since at the age of four, he jumped into the pool at his sibling's summer league practice with the Pine Shore Piranhas in Winder, GA . He was the initial and sole member of the Winder Barrow High School swim team in the late 80s where he won the All classification state championship in the 100 Backstroke as a Senior. He attended Clemson University and competed with the Swim and Dive team, while earning a B.S. in Computer Engineering. Coach Irwin has lived in Buford, GA for the last 20 + years with his wife Dana and three children - Caroline, Benjamin, and Mack.
